My mother’s zither, a broken pane of glass, 6 & 12 string guitars, rice, shaking hands, ping pong balls, a stolen glass bowl, a person below me, fragments of Eva-Maria Houben, J.S. Bach & Mel Bay’s Jazz Guitar Method, motors, rubber balls, a tape player that never worked, rodent repellents (and memories of when the mice started to burrow into my bed), magnets, my childhood music stand, plectrums, fingernails, walking away for another beer, a notebook, an obliterated conversation with someone I don’t know and can’t remember at The Portobello concerning Autechre.
